Conducting the Witnessing Session
During the Appointment

- Verbal: Statements suggesting pressure, fear, or lack of understanding of the document.
- Avoiding Distractions:
- Do maintain a professional demeanor and focus on the signing process.
- Don’t allow interruptions from phones or engage in unrelated conversations.
- Completing the Witnessing Process:
- Do sign the witness line, including your printed name, address, and date.
- Don’t add any personal opinions or comments to the document.
Document witnessing is a serious responsibility. By following these guidelines and being attentive to details, you can ensure a smooth and legal witnessing process. Remember, if you feel uncomfortable or have doubts about the legitimacy of a document, you have the right to refuse to witness.
